What is Life Coaching ?

Life Coaching is all about undergoing change. It is about understanding your true self and being - with all your strengths and weaknesses, with all your hopes and fears, with all your failures and success. It is about coming to terms and making peace with your own ego - both the light and dark and enduring fear and joy in the same breath.

It is how we facilitate knowledge and learning, self development and well-being. It is how we explore self awareness through choices that we make on a day to day basis. Ultimately we are shown how to find our own solutions to issues that plague us, how we develop our own skills through trial and error and how we, as men, develop conscious life skills through a change in our own attitudes and behaviour.
My goal is to provide the tools (such as HeartMath which focusses on coherence and emotional self regulation - see below) and methodologies that are required for the individual (or group) to lessen their stress, anxieties and problem areas through a supportive and compassionate process.
Life coaches do not give advice. We are not psychologists, psychiatrists or psychotherapists. We simply guide and coach the client along their own life journey , taking into account their past, present and future viewpoints of who they are. Our viewpoint and mission is to lessen the gap and understanding for the client as to how things are currently in their lives and the potential of what they could be.

It is a process where the client is called upon to take responsibility and accountability for their decisions and actions. It is a journey of self growth and awareness with the outcome being a more coherent, well balanced and whole individual.

The #makeyourheartsmile campaign is simply a way of finding, recognising and accepting the things in life that make you happy. The aspects of your life that complete you and bring joy and balance into your life journey. For some, it might be family and realtionships and others it might be around the joy of listening to music and surfing the perfect wave. Whatever it is that allows your heart to smile, is that which allows you personal freedom and a sense of wholeness.
